What's That Racket?

Ah new sounds emerge. While we hear the subtle cries of the puppies, they tend to be pretty quiet. But now, one has started to find their voice so to speak. This reminds us of Ming's first litter when the puppies sounded like screeching birds. However, note in that video that the puppies were over a month old. Ah something to look forward to with four instead of a cacophony of nine!

Here is a video in which Orange is discovering the power of crying and likes to comfort himself by wedging into a corner under the rails. In this episode, Ming is not concerned as she was packing with us.



How does it end? We "puppy burritoed" him and all was well.

Puppy Burrito?

Some of you may be aghast over the title. But we were examining the puppies today and one of us used a towel to wrap the puppy. In human terms, if there are parents out there, the term was swaddling. Anyway, we swaddled Green first and noticed that he quickly fell asleep. Then we tried Orange and then Blue with the same result. These puppies were catching some nice sleep. We grabbed a few pictures of Purple. But then someone said this is like a puppy burrito. Why yes, it is isn't it?

Well, this is the first video of Ming's second litter. We did a lot of small videos here and there in the first litter and frankly we felt guilty. It's sort of like your first child. One takes numerous photos and videos and by the second one that comes along, the thrill and motivation wanes. But there is always the power of guilt. Yes, never underestimate the power of guilt.

What you see below is Ming feeding the pups. Like many newborns, they're unpredictable and there is no rhyme or reason why they're in one corner or asleep in another.
