This is a first...terriers having a WATER fight
I heard what sounded like water being slapped around in the puppy playpen and wondered what that was all about. Amazing, the water in their water bowl was everywhere but in the bowl. The puppies were all wet- red seemed to be wetter than blue. Blue, who always enjoyed sitting in the larger metal water bowl (when it was empty) had slapped water at Red and she fought back. This water bowl is secured to the pen so they had to use their faces and paws to play with the water. There was water all over their pen, the floor and them. Naughty puppies were placed in the crate so that I can clean up. Amazing, but these westie pups like the water. Next posting will be all the holes in the yard...which is expected.

Green
The puppies are getting groomed- nails clipped, pads trimmed, paws trimmed, ears tipped, eyes cleared, and chest and rear groomed. Green is the first.

It's Potty Time
We have been busily training all the pups that when they need to go potty, it should be outside. They took to the outside very well and now look at me to let them out when they have that "urge". It's mostly for the ole #2 and less for the #1 but they understand both. They still go in their pen but I find in the mornings that there's less clean up. I am very proud of this bunch and feel that they "get it". Though I am very proud of each of my litters. They all were distinctive in their own ways. Very smart. It's a start.
Here are photos I took today. We started to paint their ears - collars are long gone but they should take to collars and leashes well when they go on to their forever homes. In case you can't see the colors, I will lable them here.
